PurposeFor the supply chain to be responsive in the age of globalization, the firm needs to adopt strategies to enable them to meet the changing market needs. Thus, it is essential to adopt automatic replenishment programmes such as vendor-managed inventory (VMI). This study sought to examine the relationship between VMI and operational performance (OP) and the moderation roles of leadership and digitization in the mining sector.Design/methodology/approachA quantitative approach was used, including primary data collected from industry players in the mining sector in Ghana. A total of 97 industry players were included in the study. Data gathered was analysed using SPSS and LISREL (8.5).FindingsThe results indicate that VMI significantly affects OP. However, both digitization and leadership failed to moderate the relationship between VMI and OP.Practical implicationsThe study offers mining companies an understanding of VMI applications in their industry. The knowledge will stimulate and improve inventory management practices in the mining industry.Originality/valueThis study is among the first few attempts to understand VMI in the mining industry, especially in the Sub-Saharan Africa context. It presents a detailed understanding of VMI and opportunities for future research.

This research study examines the importance of ethics in supply chain management functions. The data sample consisted of 30 respondents collected using a questionnaire administered randomly to firms’ employees or representatives. Results show, there is no strong and sufficient evidence to infer the existence of unethical behaviours and the significance of ethics in a supply chain function within the players or parties in a supply chain relationship. Thus, this study recommends that parties in a supply chain relationship should act ethically right for long lasting relationship within the supply chain functions in firms or companies. Essentially all businesses to including banking and non-banking firms have needs that require the use of supply chains. have responsibilities that require the use of supply chains. Therefore, the outcome of this study is useful applicable to all sorts of business entities.

The main objective of the study is to explore the e-marketing as a determinant of the sustainable performance of firm's Sportswear industry in Thailand. The present study is unique because of its focus on the e marketing in general and its impact on the sustainable organizational performance. Empirical evidence has been provided by this study for the hypothesized theoretical associations in accordance with the research framework. The study has surveyed the sportswear manufacturing firms. The final sample is 238 and response rate is 43 percent. The SEMPLS is used to analyse the data. The findings of the study have provided support to the hypothesized results. Several important implications can be made by this research. The research has identified several relations with regard to the literature on sustainability. The study has tested the direct and indirect relations among the variables, which were identified by the literature. The understanding of managers for achieving sustainable business performance through use of e marketing practices can be enhanced by the suggested model. Moreover, the e marketing process improves when it involves the technological aspects. From practical aspects, the study motivates the shareholders, top management, government, marketing department, policy makers, and practitioners to improve the sustainability of business.
