Abstract: SUMMARY Elevation of brain catecholamine levels by systemic administration of L-dopa in dogs pretreated with the dopa decarboxylase inhibitor carbidopa inhibits the secretion of vasopressin and adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) and decreases arterial blood pressure.
