Abstract:ARHGAP21 participates in cell proliferation, but the mechanisms involved in the role of that GAP are not elucidated. This project aims to investigate the possible involvement of ARHGAP21 in beta cell proliferation mechanisms in pancreatic islet in response to insulin resistance in ARGAP21 haplodeficient mice, after administration of a high fat diet. This project contributes to understanding the cellular mechanisms that lead beta cell mass and proliferation in insulin resistance.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
