Robust chaotic PN sequence generation techniques

Abstract: A novel chaos based pseudo-noise (PN) sequence generation technique is presented. This technique is based on the direct quantization of chaotic maps, which guarantees the generation of repeatable sequences based only on the initial condition. A cell based sequence generator architecture based on the presented approach has been developed and implemented as a prototype integrated circuit. The simulation and test results show that a very large space of P N sequences with desirable statistical properties for sprea… Show more

“…Both the Gold and Chaotic sequences considered have span n = 5; a total number of 33 Gold sequences of length L = 31 are considered, and up to 40 Chaotic sequences of length L = 32. The Chaotic sequences considered are generated by means of direct quantization of chaotic maps[9].The sequences are xPSK-modulated (x=2,4,8) and compared in Doppler shift and time delay. For each sequence set, an average PAF is computed, as the average of all the PAFs of the sequences belonging to the same set.…”
