Risks of the Durability of Large-Panel Buildings Elevations in Reference to the Conclusions from Technical Conditions Audits

Abstract

Abstract.In article the problem of durability of elevations of large-panel technology buildings is analyzed. In Poland this is a serious technical issue because it has an impact on the whole country. Heat loss through infiltration, the possibility of mold growth and general breakdowns are also reasons for increasing user discomfort. In article the results of the diagnostics presented in the literature and the authors' analysis and diagnostic results are presented. Article also presents conclusions regarding to the durability of applied insulation systems ETICS and the need to strengthening the layers connections of the facade panels.

An environmental impact on the condition of an unfinished building in the OWT technology

“…One of them was the method of construction of the façade layer in external wall elements and connection of the cladding with the load bearing part of the external wall. Hooks, anchoring the façade layer with the load bearing layer of wall, were destroyed due to an increase of the stress in the steel [12] as well as the access of the moisture. Similar situation occurred in the case of reinforcement of the façade layer in form of a grid of the steel rods.…”

The diagnosis of the technical condition of buildings as an indicator of the scale of needs for the revitalization on the example Kożuchów

“…In the revitalization process, the scope of work to be done depends on the technical condition of a particular historical site [3,4]. Any activities should be preceded by a diagnosis of its technical condition in terms of changes which have taken place so far [5,6]. The diagnosis of particular buildings will make it possible to determine the scope of needs to be included in the revitalization plan.…”
