Risk of general anesthesia in horses – A retrospective study on 1.989 cases

Abstract: ZusammenfassungAnhand einer retrospektiven Narkoseprotokollauswertung sollte der Frage nachgegangen werden, wie hoch die narkosebedingte Todesfallrate (Todesfälle im Zeitraum von der Narkoseeinleitung bis Ende der Aufstehphase) und die anästhesieassoziierte perioperative Todesfallrate (Todesfälle nach der Aufstehphase, aber noch während des Klinikaufenthaltes) bei 1.989 in Allgemeinanästhesie untersuchten beziehungsweise behandelten Pferden im Zeitraum von 2006 bis 2011 war.
