“…Sixteen publications (DeKoninck & Christenbery, 2015; Gaetano et al., 2009; Glenister et al., 2022; Goyal & Colver, 2007; Jones & Colver, 2011; Mullen & Jones, 2012;Tan et al., 2022; Teoh & Oakley, 2022), including eight review papers (Frank‐Stromborg & Rohan, 1992; Godsell, 2009; Jones et al., 2019; Loescher et al., 2010; Loescher et al., 2018; Maguire‐Eisen, 2003; Robinson & Halpern, 2016; Zhang et al., 2019), examined nurses in a role related to skin cancer screening and detection. Seven studies (DeKoninck & Christenbery, 2015; Gaetano et al., 2009; Goyal & Colver, 2007; Jones & Colver, 2011; Mullen & Jones, 2012; Tan et al., 2022 & Teoh & Oakley, 2022) reported or reviewed the screening service provided by nurses, which involved detecting recurring or advancing skin cancers by acting as the primary screener to either discharge, treat or refer patients with suspicious lesions to a dermatologist.…”
