“…Thus, the rhythmic rise and fall of ATP content was unrelated to mitotic cycle. The same conclusion was reached from the detection of a similar ATP rhythm in hepatocytes (Brodsky et al, 1992), which undergo almost no cell division. Ultradian rhythms of cAMP levels were shown in slices of the rat parotid gland (Yarigin et al, 1979) and sea urchin blastomeres (Yasumasu et al, 1973).…”

“…A cell-free system from the liver was created twenty years ago as a postmitochondrial supernatant with the addition of ATP, GTP, amino acids and some other components (Eisenstein & Harper, 1984). In this system, an ultradian rhythm of protein synthesis was observed, like that found in hepatocytes cultured in vitro (Boikov, 1987 ;Brodsky et al, 1992). Ultradian and minute irregular rhythms of lactate dehydrogenase isozyme activity were also detected in cultured erythroleukaemic cells and in the corresponding cell-free system (Ferreira et al, 1996).…”

“…Тем не менее, они ведут себя как регуляторные осцилляторы, и их следует рассматривать как важнейший компонент временной организации тканей. В связи с этим, ультрадианные ритмы могут служить не только надежным маркером морфологической зрелости, но и функциональной активности ткани [8], а так же позволяют выявить выраженный токсический эффект.…”
