Rhodomycine, VII; Antibiotica aus Actinomyceten, XLIX. β‐Rhodomycinion und γ‐ Rhodomycinon

Abstract: P-Rhodomycinon C20H1808 IaBt sich durch Erhitzen mit Jodwasserstoffsaure inDescarbomethoxy-bisanhydro-c-rhodomycinon und durch Kochen mit Salzsaure in Bisanhydro-P-rhodomycinon iiberfiihren. -Aus Str. purpurascens-Kulturen wurde erstmalig kristallisiertes y-Rhodomycinon C20H1807 isoliert. -Bei katalytischer Hydrierung entsteht aus @-Rhodomycinon unter Verlust einer sek. “…For this purpose we chose Streptomyces purpurascens in which we could study not only the influence of ergot alkaloids on its growth but also on its production of visible secondary metabolites: the strain used in these investi-gations produces red coloured antibiotic rhodomycins (3-rhodomycin and y-rhodomycin in a rate of 9:1). These antibiotics are glycosides with chromophoric aglycones (rhodomycinones) similar to that of daunorubicin [4]. The inhibiting effect on the growth of human pathogenic bacteria will be reported elsewhere.…”
