Abstract:This paper aims to perform a Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) on ten TEDx talks in Saudi Arabia. The analysis aims to reveal how linguistic choices shape or are shaped by ideological assumptions and power relations, particularly the use of rhetorical strategies such as rhetorical questions, repetition, figurative speech, religious phrases and pronouns.
