In 2020, universities in Indonesia will use a new curriculum, called the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM). This policy makes all universities in Indonesia need to restructure the curriculum by referring to the MBKM curriculum. After one year, it is necessary to evaluate the implementation of the curriculum with the target of lecturers, students, and staff. This study aims to describe the implementation of the MBKM program at the Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University, to reveal the impact of the MBKM program implementation at the Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University, to describe the obstacles to implementing the MBKM program at the Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University (UST), and to provide recommendations that are expected to be useful for MBKM policies and the transformation of higher education. This survey involved 3174 students, 187 lecturers, and 56 staff at the UST. The survey was conducted online and then FGD was conducted to explore in depth the obstacles, suggestions, and recommendations from students, lecturers, and staff for a better MBKM. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the implementation of MBKM received a good response for students, lecturers, and staff. However, this program still needs some improvements and a thorough evaluation.

The tembang macapat can be classified using its cultural concepts of guru lagu, guru wilangan, and guru gatra. People may face difficulties recognizing certain songs based on the established rules. This study aims to build classification models of tembang macapat using a simple yet powerful Naïve Bayes classifier. The Naive Bayes can generate high-accuracy values from sparse data. This study modifies the concept of Guru Lagu by retrieving the last vowel of each line. At the same time, guru wilangan’s guidelines are amended by counting the number of all characters (Model 2) rather than calculating the number of syllables (Model 1). The data source is serat wulangreh with 11 types of tembang macapat, namely maskumambang, mijil, sinom, durma, asmaradana, kinanthi, pucung, gambuh, pangkur, dandhanggula, and megatruh. The k-fold cross-validation is used to evaluate the performance of 88 data. The result shows that the proposed Model 1 performs better than Model 2 in macapat classification. This promising method opens the potential of using a data mining classification engine as cultural teaching and preservation media.

Character is an important aspect that needs to be instilled in students from an early age. However, the coronavirus pandemic has changed the learning process from offline to online so that character formation must be identified whether it is in accordance with before. This study aimed to identify the character-building process of students learning mathematics in elementary schools during the coronavirus pandemic. This study used a qualitative approach with phenomenological methods. Data were collected through observation (descriptive, focused, and selected), and interviews. The data were analyzed using domain analysis techniques, taxonomic analysis, componential analysis, and theme analysis. The research subjects consisted of students and mathematics teachers at Elementary schools. The results showed that students formed through online mathematics learning during the coronavirus pandemic were honest, disciplined, and responsible. Forming students' character in learning mathematics is carried out by exemplary methods, habituation, and inculcation of values. Keywords: learning, mathematics, character, students, covid-19;
