Review of Steady-State Electric Power Distribution System Datasets

Abstract: Publicly available grid datasets with electric steady-state equivalent circuit models are crucial for the development and comparison of a variety of power system simulation tools and algorithms. Such algorithms are essential to analyze and improve the integration of DER in electrical power systems. Increased penetration of DER, new technologies, and changing regulatory frameworks require the continuous development of the grid infrastructure. As a result, the number and versatility of grid datasets, which are r… Show more

“…The purpose of heterogeneous power information data switching (hereinafter referred to as heterogeneous system) is to integrate the dispatch automation system, load control and power management system, management information system (MIS), and distribution automation and geographic information system (GIS) of the power supply bureau. Integrate multiple systems, communicate information channels, establish horizontal connections, realize unified management, share resources, and provide more comprehensive services to various functional departments of the electric power bureau 7 . In view of the consistency or similarity of the data switching methods between various information systems, this article uses two common heterogeneous power information systems, the electric energy data acquisition and analysis system and the load control system of a power supply bureau, as examples of data switching.…”

“…P OWER grid models are crucial for power system development, planning and operational analysis. Meineche et al reviewed existing steady-state power grids test cases and datasets that are publicly available and summarized the background information with possible use cases [1]. Most of the grid datasets reviewed are intended to be a generic testbed for steady-state studies such as OPF and reliability analysis [2], [3].…”
