Resveratrol reverses the effect of TNF-α on inflammatory markers in a model of autoimmune uveitis

“…Polyphenols are nowadays considered potential antiaging agents because of their ability to modulate oxidative damage, inflammation, cell senescence and autophagy (Russo et al, 2020). RSV is not only useful reducing the levels of TNFα in aged animals (Tung et al, 2015), it also reduces the effect of TFNα in an in vitro model of uveitis in which reduces the response to TNFα and the release of proinflammatory cytokines (Paladino et al, 2020).
