Introduction: Up to date, no scientific research has been undertaken in Mongolia highlighting problems of neurosurgical care from the perspective of providers of medical services – neurosurgeons. Objective: To identify the key problems and priority areas for optimizing neurosurgical care in Mongolia from the perspective of providers of medical services – neurosurgeons. Methods of Research: Sociological, statistical methods. Results: According to neurosurgeons, key problems of organization of neurosurgical care in Mongolia are as follows: depletion of stocks of instruments and equipment, insufficient educational base for the training of qualified specialists, and monopoly position of neurosurgical departments. Priority areas of optimization of neurosurgical care are improvement of neurosurgical care organization, including its centralization and structural reorganization, as well as staffing and resource provision. Conclusions: 1. The results of the study revealed that 13.8% of neurosurgeons in Mongolia rated neurosurgical care organization as unsatisfactory and 15.7% of respondents rated organization of the work of neurosurgical (surgical) departments as unsatisfactory. 2. More than a quarter of respondents (27.5%) rated the quality of tools in the operating room as unsatisfactory, while most respondents (80.4%) noted the lack of tools in the operating room. 3. According to 64.7% of neurosurgeons, neurosurgical (surgical) departments need major repairs and 25.5% of respondents noted that cosmetic repairs of departments’ are needed. 4. The key problems in the organization of neurosurgical care in Mongolia are shortage of tools and equipment, insufficient educational base for the training of qualified specialists, and the monopoly position of neurosurgical departments. 5. Priority areas of optimization of neurosurgical care, according to neurosurgeons, are improving of neurosurgical care organization, including its centralization and structural reorganization, as well as staffing and resource provision.

Introduction: In Mongolia, there is a number of geographical and national characteristics that affect the accessibility and organization of neurosurgical care for the population. Objective: Identify problems and directions for optimizing neurosurgical care in Mongolia from the consumer`s of medical care point of view – patients. Methods of Research: Sociological, statistical methods. Results: The results of the conducted research showed that the aggregated priority directions of neurosurgical care optimization according to the interviewed patients of hospitals in Mongolia are optimization of providing neurosurgical care organization, optimization of personnel and logistical support, and patient handling. Conclusions: 1. The results of a sociological patient’s survey revealed that the work of the reception department in surgical clinics is organized insufficiently effectively in relation to neurosurgical profile patients. 2. Technology of therapeutic and diagnostic processes (the regularity of patient’s examination by medical personnel, such as attending physicians, duty doctors, and heads of departments) is not fully maintained. 3. Informing patients and their relatives about the results of the examination and the course of treatment is not organized at the proper level. 4. According to the patients, the main problems in the organization of neurosurgical care are: a long queue for examination and treatment in public clinics, unsatisfactory conditions of hospital stay, as well as a high workload of medical personnel. 5. According to the patients, priority directions of neurosurgical care optimization are: improvement of the stages of neurosurgical care organization, personnel and logistical support optimization, and organization of informing population about the work of the neurosurgical service.

Introduction: The current material and technical conditions of the buildings of the state healthcare system of the Russian Federation (RF) is associated with the availability of medical care to the population. The reduction of this parameter influences the quality of life of the population. To improve the provision of the RF population with outpatient medical care, a profound material and technical restructuring and modernization of primary care setting is necessary. Aim: To analyze the main parameters of the technical condition of buildings of medical organizations of outpatient care (MOOC) in the RF for 20122019. Materials and methods: The study used data from Federal statistical observation form No. 30 "Information about a Medical Organization" in the RF for 20122019. Data were analyzed statistically using descriptive and analytical statistics and analysis of dynamic series. Absolute and relative parameters of the technical condition of MOOC buildings were calculated. Trend analysis was the main methods used. Results: In 20122017, the number of MOOC buildings in disrepair and requiring demolition tended to decrease from 215 to 96 units. In 20122019, the number of MOOC buildings requiring reconstruction decreased from 511 to 179. In 20122018, the number of MOOC buildings requiring full repair decreased from 4,347 to 2,378. However, in 2019, the number sharply increased to 4,113. In 20142019, the number of MOOC buildings located in adapted premises increased from 6,723 to 8,126 units. In 20142019, the number of MOOC buildings located in rented areas decreased from 1,443 to 1,414. In 20122019, the number of MOOC buildings with hot water supply, central water supply, central heating, central sewer drainage, telephone communication, and autonomous power supply increased. Conclusion: The total number of MOOC in the study period increased by 7.9%. The number of buildings requiring repair and modernization in 20122019 tended to decrease. Not all parameters show a positive tendency, and the modernization of healthcare is structurally incomplete.
