Abstract:This article investigates resonant transmission phenomena through a single metallic subwavelength slit when the permittivity of a real metal varies. The single metallic slit is utilized as a metal–insulator –metal waveguide, and a mode-matching technique is employed to obtain the transmitted power. The periodic resonant transmission phenomena (in terms of the metallic plate thickness) are solved, and the resonances can be understood by their guide wavelengths. Even when the permittivity of the real metal includ… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
