ABSTRAKVarietas unggul kedelai tahan hama dibutuhkan dalam upaya memenuhi kebutuhan kedelai yang tinggi di Indonesia. Perakitan varietas kedelai tahan terhadap kutu kebul membutuhkan ketersediaan sumber gen yang dapat diperoleh dalam koleksi plasma nutfah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan plasma nutfah sebagai sumber gen ketahanan dan mempelajari karakter daun yang menentukan sifat ketahanan kedelai terhadap serangan kutu kebul. Penelitian dilaksanakan sejak Februari hingga Mei 2018 di Kebun Percobaan Kendalpayak, Balitkabi, Malang. Sebanyak 48 genotipe kedelai dievaluasi mengikuti rancangan acak kelompok yang diulang tiga kali. Pengamatan terhadap tiga tanaman contoh setiap genotipe dilakukan untuk mengetahui populasi kutu kebul (jumlah telur, nimfa, pupa, dan imago), jumlah trikoma daun, indeks klorofil daun, kadar air daun, dan skor warna daun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 6 genotipe yang tergolong tahan yaitu Wilis, Meratus, Argomulyo, Ringgit, Merbabu, dan Malabar. Tidak didapatkan karakter daun yang berperan dominan dalam ketahanan kedelai terhadap kutu kebul.
ABSTRACTSuperior variety with resistance to pest is needed in order to cover the high needs of soybean in Indonesia. Genetic resources from germplasm collections are needed for the assembly of new soybean variety resistant to whitefly. This research aims to find soybean germplasm as the source of resistance gene and to learn soybean leaf characters resistant to whitefly. This research was conducted from February to May 2018 at Kendalpayak Experimental Station, Balitkabi, Malang. A total of 48 soybean genotypes were evaluated following a randomized block design with three replicates. Observations of whitefly population (number of eggs, nymphs, pupae, and imago), number of leaf trichomes, leaf chlorophyll index, leaf water content, and leaf color score were carried out on three plant samples for each genotype. The result showed that there are 6 resistant genotypes such as Wilis, Meratus, Argomulyo, Ringgit, Merbabu, and Malabar. There were no leaf characteristics that played a doimant role in soybean resistance to whitefly.
