“…The search terms were defined based on the research objective, out of reviews on regional resilience (Miranda & Hoffmann, 2021; Silva & Exterckoter, 2016) and papers on the theme (e.g. Boschma, 2015; Martin & Sunley, 2015; Simonen et al ., 2020), identifying the use of terms in titles, abstracts or keywords.…”

“…From literature reviews on sources and determinants of regional resilience (Evenhuis, 2017;Miranda & Hoffmann, 2021), we know that both the equilibrium and the evolutionary perspectives have strongly associated resilient regional capacity with its innovative (Simmie, 2014) and entrepreneurial performances (Huggins & Thompson, 2015). We also know that innovation and learning capabilities are essential sources of reorientation of industrial and technological structures over time (Bathelt, Munro, & Spigel, 2013;Stognief, Walk, Sch€ ottker, & Oei, 2019).…”

“…Our objective was to identify and quantify the frequency of shocks experienced by the Brusque T&C industrial region and how this industrial region coped with these shocks. Through a double-blind analysis by the researchers, we developed codebooks (Tables 2 and 3) applying a theory-driven approach according to the framework adaptation of Martin and Sunley (2015) proposed by Miranda J unior and Hoffmann (2021).…”

“…There are two considerations related to the model, according to Martin and Sunley (2015): (1) a single economic subsystem does not entirely determine the economic responses and (2) the subsystems interact with agency and decision-making. In addition to the framework outlined by Martin and Sunley (2015) and Miranda Júnior and Hoffmann (2021) suggest the so-called economic subsystem of “Territorial elements.”…”
