Abstract:Rain fade is the loss of signal power at the receiver of a telecommunication system mainly due to absorption and scattering caused by rain in the transmission medium, especially at frequencies above 10 GHz. In order to combat the loss of the signal power at the receiver, there is the need to employ rain fade mitigation techniques. Consequently, researchers have been studying how rain affects the signal in different geographical locations as well as proposing some mitigation techniques. Power control is one of … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
