“…Studies on nutrient aspects, processing properties, pest diseases and fungal infection of chestnuts have been reported . In our previous study, the pesticide residue levels of chestnuts were investigated, in which 34.1% of all samples contained pesticide residues . THMs contamination in chestnuts was rarely reported.…”

“…The sale of SPs accounted for about 17% of the world insecticide market in 2007 . Disconcertingly, a number of studies have demonstrated that SPs can be detected in fruits, nuts, soils, and streams, likely due to their extensive use …”

“…So far only a few studies described methods for the determination of pesticide residues in nuts [2,3,6]. In our study, there are some considerable superiorities over other works: (i) 106 pesticides were determined simultaneously in nut, whereas other published works involved much less pesticides; (ii) in the extraction procedure, MAE was used to improve the extraction efficiency; (iii) two-step cleanup procedure was used and eliminated efficiently the interference of matrix compounds; (iv) the analysis and pretreatment method was labor intensity lighten and time shorten, it took only 15 min to separate 106 analytes which was much shorter than other work [48].…”

“…These residues would cause hazardous effects to both humans and environment, and has become of increased concern world wide. China is the largest producer of nuts in the world, export quantity is approximately half million tons to the United States, EU and other countries [3]. How to guarantee the high quality of nuts is of significant importance for China.…”
