Land acquisition is becoming prevalent in most rural destinations. This study investigates the dynamic interaction process between rural residents regarding tourism‐led land acquisition and analyses how social relations influence cooperative behaviours by using social network analysis. The findings suggest that informal social relations between rural residents transmit influence and information, generating significantly positive impacts on individuals' land acquisition decisions. The multiple regression‐quadratic assignment procedure results further show that residential ties and political ties positively relate to the second land acquisition decision and that dynamic changes in formal political relations significantly facilitate the cooperative behaviour of rural residents. Our study suggests that building diverse social linkages between local governments and rural residents is conducive to promoting cooperation, shedding light on rural cooperative behaviours and sustainable tourism development.

The primary objective of this study is to examine the influence of social capital, government support, and entrepreneurial orientation on the improvement of sustainable rural tourism performance. Additionally, the study aims to identify a suitable model for enhancing the overall performance of sustainable rural tourism. Using a quantitative model, this study utilized the responses of 400 rural tourism administrators. SmartPLS 3.2 is used as a tool to analyze the collected data. Smart Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was used to assess the interrelationships among social capital, government support, entrepreneurial orientation, and sustainable rural tourism performance. The findings show a positive impact of social capital and entrepreneurial orientation on sustainable rural tourism performance, but government support does not impact on sustainable rural tourism performance. Furthermore, social capital and government support have a positive impact on entrepreneurial orientation. This study suggests the role of entrepreneurial orientation to increase the influence of social capital and government support on sustainable rural tourism performance. Finally, This research offers a conceptual contribution to authors investigating the sustainable performance of rural tourism. Additionally, it provides practical insights for stakeholders in rural tourism, aiding them in enhancing the sustainable performance of this sector.

Pujon Kidul Village is a village with the potential of the main agricultural sector which has been designated and developed into a Pujon Kidul Tourism Village. Tourism villages that are developed need support within the village itself to maintain sustainability. Tourist villages that do not pay attention to the sustainability aspect will threaten the social and economic conditions of the community, especially the farming community, who make up most rural communities. Therefore, it is necessary to support sustainable agriculture that can balance sustainable tourism. The most important capital that must be prepared to achieve sustainable agriculture is social capital from the farming community. Social capital is the main force to empower communities in development, this study examines how the conditions and factors are forming the social capital of the farming community of Pujon Kidul tourism village. This study's main data collection method used a questionnaire aimed at 221 respondents. Then the questionnaire results will be described and analyzed by CFA analysis. Overall, the social capital of the farming community is in good condition, and this is a potential that can be used in determining the right approach to the farming community of Pujon Kidul Tourism Village in supporting sustainable agriculture
