Resection of Unresectable Stage IVB Thyroid Cancer Encasing the Carotid Artery

Abstract: Stage IVB thyroid cancer includes carotid encasement or infiltration of the prevertebral fascia and mediastinal vessels. Stage IVB disease is considered unresectable due to grave consequences of attempting resection.
