Research on the Flow Separation Control in Hydrodynamic Coupling Based on Numerical Simulation

Abstract: Flow separation should be controlled to improve performance for its adverseness in flow field. The separation flow in complex three-dimension viscous fluid with rotation effects in hydrodynamic coupling is analyzed. The method of drilling holes in turbine vane is employed to control flow separation in hydrodynamic coupling. The 3D flow field before and after drilling in turbine vanes is simulated and analyzed by CFD software.
