Research on the Dynamic Performance and Parameter Design of Parallel Hybrid Electric Vehicle

Abstract: According to the Parallel Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) demands on powertrain systems, the dynamic models of PHEV are built in this paper. Base on the analysis of dynamical characteristics of both internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric machine (EM), the dynamic ability and fuel economy performance of PHEV is presented. The paper focuses on the parametric design of powertrain on vehicle performance, which provided the theoretical foundation for PHEV design. The paper also puts forward the control strate… Show more

“…From the perspective of consumer market, electric vehicles are mainly concentrated in coastal cities and some economically developed provincial capital cities, largely because of the implementation of national Sixth standard in some cities. However, as the country attaches great importance to energy saving, emission reduction and environmental protection, and vigorously develops new energy vehicles, pure electric vehicles will achieve rapid development in the transportation industry with its advantages of energy saving, pollution-free, noiseless, flexible and free from traffic restrictions [1].…”

“…Vehicle powertrain hybridization is one of the promising technologies for improved fuel economy and reduced tailpipe emissions, where hydraulic accumulators or batteries are used in conjunction with internal combustion engines. Various different topologies for hybridization have been explored; e.g., series Kim, 2010, Jalil et al, 1997), parallel , Yang et al, 2012, Zheng et al, 2010, and power split (or series-parallel) Peng, 2008, Yanhe andKar, 2011). They all demonstrated improvements in fuel economy and some showed reduction in emissions.…”
