Construction and Structural Analysis of Inter‐Regional Industrial Circular Network: A Case of the Middle and Lower Reaches of the Yellow River in China

Imbalance, incoordination, and inter-regional economic segmentation of the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River (MLYR) have brought challenges to high-quality development in the Yellow River basin. To solve the problem, from the perspective of optimization of inter-regional economic circulation, combining input-output technology and complex network model, we proposed a systematic framework for structural analysis of circular economy and applied it in analysis of economic circulation of the MLYR. Firstly, we defined the inter-regional industrial circular network (ICN) and proposed the construction method of the ICN. Secondly, we designed indicators such as network, cycle, and inter-regional circulation effects to measure the structural characteristics of industrial circular network. Thirdly, the models and indicators were applied to explore the structural factors, revealing how the economic circulation was hindered and imbalance of development happened in the MLYR. We found that the external inter-regional circulation of the provinces was more differentiated, and limitation of utilization of technological resources and inter-regional capital flow, and weak investment and consumption demand for emerging services inhabited the quantity and vitality of cycles, which resulted in the imbalance of regional development in the MLYR. The results provide a basis for the suggestion, such as collaborative scientific and technological innovation, building a unified and efficient financial market, and development of emerging industries. The model and method were verified in the case of the MLYR and have practical meaning in supporting policy-making on promoting high-quality development of China.

As an important foundation of and driving force for rural revitalisation, green and low-carbon energy development is an intrinsic requirement for meeting the people’s needs. Rural energy utilization efficiency is low, and there is an urgent need to develop and use renewable green energy. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to explore and clarify the entanglement mechanism between new energy enterprises (NEEs) and village collectives (VCs) considering the mutually beneficial evolutionary stability strategy of the main participants in the rural new energy industry (RNEI) regarding the quantum entanglement state. The quantum evolutionary game model for NEEs and VCs was constructed, and a set of quantum strategies of both parties was introduced. This not only expands the strategy set of the classical game model but also considers the characteristics of quantum entanglement in the implementation of the quantum game. This study also analysed the evolution path and stability strategy of participants in the process of RNEI’s development. The results of this study are presented as follows: (i) after considering the entanglement of states, it is easier to adopt the complete quantum strategy to realize the complete incentive situation that “income increases with the increase of one’s own efforts,” which is conducive to the development of the RNEI. (ii) Observable and quantifiable performance indicators are of greatest importance. Both parties involved in the development of the RNEI should make relevant information open and transparent to promote the smooth implementation of the RNEI development process. (iii) The signing of the “entanglement contract” requires a scientific, complete, specific, and quantifiable performance evaluation system to be established by a professional and independent third-party organization. The study not only makes a certain theoretical contribution to clarifying the mechanism of entanglement between NEEs and village collectives but also provides a theoretical basis for scientific and effective cooperation between NEEs and village collectives.

Under the dual impact of urbanization and ecological crisis, rural ecological resilience research can improve the system’s level of resisting external pressure and restoring ecological balance and provide a new perspective for sustainable rural development. This study establishes a rural ecological resilience measurement system in Weiyuan based on the PSR framework, evaluates the level of rural ecological resilience in Weiyuan in 2021 using the entropy method and the GWR model and detects its driving factors. The results show that (1) the spatial characteristics of rural ecological resilience diverge significantly, with the ecological resilience level of the three southern forest farms being higher overall the high values of resilience in Qingyuan, Wuzhu and Xiacheng being distributed in the central villages, while other villages are at low and medium values (2) X5 and X7 have negative driving effects on village ecological resilience, and X1, X5, X9 and X10 have positive driving effects on village ecological resilience (3) the dominant drivers and characteristics, we construct a scheme on stressor repair, state adaptation transformation and response efficiency optimization to provide ideas for improving rural ecological resilience.
