RESEARCH ON NaCl SALINE AEROSOLS I. NATURAL AND ARTIFICIAL SOURCES AND THEIR IMPLICATIONS

Abstract: This paper is the first of a series of new researches on the NaCl aerosols, which includes the bibliographical analysis and synthesis regarding the structure, the form and the sizes of the particles of the NaCl aeroions in correlation with the production procedures. There are also analyzed some practical applications pointed out both by some ancient Greek and Roman texts and by the presentday literature; at the same time there is underlined the existence, even from Antiquity, of an ethnoscience which led to th… Show more

“…However, the intensity of formation of amide linkages was recorded after crosslinking. The spectra showed an amplified peak of the absorbance frequency of amide‐I (1630–1680 cm −1 ) in AG EN cryogels compared to AG G . In the same array, the bond of amide‐II at 1550 cm −1 was observed in both cases, where the absorbance frequency was also found to be higher in AG EN than AG G .…”

In the same array, the bond of amide‐II at 1550 cm −1 was observed in both cases, where the absorbance frequency was also found to be higher in AG EN than AG G . It might be possible that the amount of bond formation is higher in the AG EN matrices, due to the abundance of carboxylic groups, for EDC activity influenced by NHS to be crosslinked with free amine groups, while at the same time glutaraldehyde crosslinked only free amine groups.…”

“…Due to these exceptional characteristics and the wide range of application for analysis of archaeological and art sites, FTIR spectroscopy has been selected as main analytical method in many different types of artwork [14][15][16]. A large number of papers have been published, which shows its importance, covering all kinds of specimens and artistic techniques such as paintings [18][19][20], icons [21][22][23][24] pottery [25,26], metal artifacts [6,27], polychromed sculptures [28,29], etc.…”

“…The conductometric differencial method developed by our team is a method that allows a real time assessment of the behavior and mutual influence of the various aerosol species and of solions. Moreover, chromatography by ionic exchange is also a frequently used method (Patnaik, 1997;Standard D4327-97, 1999) Both methods are also successfully used to monitor their behavior, irrespective of generating source and the environmental conditions at their moment of generation (Sandu et al, 2004a, b;2010a, b, c;Alexianu et al, 2012;Sandu et al, 2012).…”
