The Influence of Physically Doping NaCl with Other Salts on Aerosol and Solion Generation

Abstract: The paper presents the influence of physically doping NaCl grains with 0.5% KCl, KI, MgCl 2 and CaCl 2 on the release of negative aerosols/solions in dynamic halochambers. The salts used for doping were chosen according to the current procedures to obtain therapeutic and ambient mediums in aerosols with a negative charge based on NaCl. The aerosols were released by pumping an airflow of 1.8 L/min through a cartridge containing 60g of porous granules, with diameters between 4.0 and 6.6 mm, which were obtained b… Show more

“…Quickly installed therapeutic effect, side reactions reduced in the conditions of adequate administration, with reversible effects and diminished hepatic and renal toxicity, the absence of dependency or of cumulative phenomena, these are only a few of the objectives that a dental specialist must follow in selecting the type of medicinal substance used in muscular dysfunctions at the level of stomatognatic system. Although, the onset can be done on one element of the stomatognatic system further homeostasis disorders trigger the other elements, which can be improved in saline aerosol environments [14][15][16][17][18][19].…”

“…The ability to control the air exchange ratio in an underground salt mine can be a significant advantage compared to the artificial halochambers on the surface. For artificial halochambers, more care is taken to produce the appropriate saline aerosol than to ventilate this closed inner space properly (Chervinskaya 2007;Sandu et al 2013Sandu et al , 2018.…”

“…Likewise, according to the characteristics of the source and the environmental conditions in which they are obtained, the aerosols display var ying shapes, granulometries and concentrations; in this regard, the specialised literature employs the following terms: saline aerosols, haloaerosols, aeroanions, and solions -they differ in terms of morphology, internal structure (ratio between the NaCl polyhedron nanostructures and the oligomers of the water dipoles), electrical charge, etc. [1,[21][22][23][24][25][26][27].…”

“…An artificial source of aerosols is characterised by the three different areas: the active or nucleation layer, the diffuse layer or of structural reforming and stabilisation in terms of concentration level and of aero-disperse system, and the residual, passive or of quenching, through electroneutralisation or stearic and electrostatic sedimentation. The three areas can be distinguished through the activity of the saline aerosols, respectively through the concentration and size of the particles [21][22][23][24][25][26][27][28].…”
