Research on Hierarchical P2P Based RFID Code Resolution Network and Its Security

Abstract: In order to build large-scale RFID applications, it is necessary to establish public RFID service infrastructure, the essential task is to build efficient and secure RFID code resolution network. Aiming at alleviating the problems in load balancing, single node failure tolerance and security of resolution network, based on related standards and research works, a hierarchical P2P based RFID code resolution network structure is proposed, k-Nearest Neighbor storing and hierarchical querying mechanism are presente… Show more

“…In a recent effort presented in [61,62], the authors propose a hierarchical peer-topeer (P2P) architecture to solve the load balancing and single node failure problems in ONS and DS type resolution infrastructure we have discussed in Sects. 5.1 and 5.2.…”

“…Traceability Queries. The architectural extensions only provide a means to enable track and trace queries given an underlying EPC Network architecture as described in [61]. Hence there is no efficient mechanism for realizing high-level track and trace queries.…”

“…A DHT-DNS hybrid naming system is proposed in paper [20], whose upper level nodes are organized into hierarchical architecture and lower level nodes are organized into DHTs connected with corresponding hierarchical nodes respectively. A hierarchical P2P code resolution service is proposed in [21], whose lower level consists of many disjoint P2P networks and upper level is composed of a single P2P network where each node is regarded as a super node and selected from a P2P network at the lower level. A code can be resolved from top to bottom according to its hierarchical structure.…”
