Research on automatic detection technology for the compensation hole shape and position parameters of a brake master cylinder

Abstract: Machine vision is a key technology to achieve high detection accuracy for the compensation hole parameters of automobile brake master cylinders, which influence automobile safety and parking reliability. As an important part of the automobile brake master cylinder, the compensation hole can play an important role in regulating the brake fluid in the reservoir tank and brake chamber, and its dimensional accuracy and processing quality are strictly controlled. Therefore, determining how to accurately obtain imag… Show more

“…In this study, the coordinate calibration method developed by Zhang was applied. [28][29][30][31] (2) In this study, the template matching approach 28,[32][33][34] was used to evaluate the position of the central axis of the hex nut. The images of the hex nut captured by the digital camera are firstly operated the image pre-processing.…”

“…Machine vision is the main technology used to achieve high detection accuracy for the identification of an object and its orientation. In the literature, the most commonly applied methods for object detection have been template matching methods (25)(26)(27)(28) and feature-point matching methods. (29,30) Because the shaft nut on the spindle of the round bar sawing equipment is hexagonal and symmetric, the developed template matching approach is applied in this work.…”
