Research into Plastic Deformation of Double Reduced Sheets

Abstract: This contribution focuses on examining properties of thin steel sheets, which have been used to produce packages. Thin steel sheets for producing packages have been created with a different method (considering their thickness) than other thin steel sheets, such as sheets for the automobile industry. Steel sheets thinner than circa 0.18 mm are produced with a simple rolling and followed by annealing. Annealing can be completed through a batch process or a continuous process. Steel sheets with a thickness less t… Show more

“…The effectiveness of the integrated model was demonstrated by achieving a 9% productivity enhancement in a modern batch annealing operation when compared to the prevalent thermal model. [14] Spišák et al [16] in their work characterized in detail the causes and consequences of loss of stability and fractures of steel packaging sheets in uniaxial and biaxial tensile loading. The analysis of deformation and loss of stability for individual tests were discussed.…”

“…Therefore, the accurate characterization of the mechanical properties of aluminum alloy FSW under a biaxial stress state need to be conducted. For the design of such struc tures, design allowable values are usually used as representative for considering failure behaviors and determined using careful tests [11][12][13].…”
