The status of real estate investment trusts (REITs) rose in investment decisions and research since 2008, after the global financial crisis (GFC) and the surge in REITs. However, the sector is still in its infancy in most emerging markets and African countries. The current study examines the literature on the performance of REITs and the related risks using bibliometric and content analyses. The study’s objectives were to determine the research trends on the topic since 2008, the prominent authors, countries, and sources, the knowledge trend and themes associated with the existing research to date, and future or new directions for research. Materials from 2008 to 2022 indexed in the Scopus database were retrieved and visualised using VOSviewer software. The findings revealed that publications were mostly in Australia, Italy, Singapore, and Canada. The co-authorship links were dominant among the Australian authors. The themes that emerged were centred around REITs’ portfolio measurement, risk management in diversified portfolios, capital structure, efficiency measurement, corporate governance, portfolio risk assessment, portfolio construction, and asset allocation strategies. The findings are envisaged to be beneficial in informing further research directions on the subject. The performance threats are also highlighted for industry stakeholders’ decision-making and strategic planning around REITs’ sustainability.

Rural broadcasting is an important tool for providing development-focused messages to rural populations. Research on this topic is necessary for creating informed proposals for rural broadcasting legislation. According to a bibliometric study by Evangelos M. Pallis of Hellenic Mediterranean University, the most common sources of research on rural broadcasting are M/C Journal, IEEE Transactions on Broadcasting, and Media Culture & Society Journal. The most frequently cited phrase in the titles of these studies is "UHF," although it appears only four times. Research on rural broadcasting is most common in China, Thailand, and Nigeria, as indicated by the appearance of these countries in the titles of research studies. According to a word cloud analysis, the most common terms in the titles of these studies are "rural broadcasting" and "radio." These terms appear 62 times in total. Recent research on rural broadcasting has covered a range of topics, including radio, digital, and TV. The most common focus of research in this field is TV.

Regional planning is a method of development planning that leverages present resources to better a public community, government, and environment in a specific area. It is essential to gather and assess regional planning research from across the globe in order to provide informed suggestions for domestic regional planning and the implementation of suitable laws. Studies on regional planning are particularly significant when given as bibliometric analyses. The purpose of this research is to discover distinct research trends in bibliometrics relevant to the topic of regional planning. Using statistics, we examine the number of articles on regional planning that have been published in the recent five years in this study. Alois Humer, who works at the University of Vienna in Austria, has a high level of scientific production as well as recognition in this subject. Researchers studying regional planning utilize the total number of papers published in each publication to classify journals into separate regions. According to Bradford's rule of document transmission, the IOP Conference Series Earth and Environmental Science is the most significant journal on this subject. Looking at the numbers, it is also clear that China has published a total of 145 articles throughout the past five years. The word "regional planning" appears 126 times in the title, which is rather remarkable. This phrase is related to the article's keywords' theme. This image incorporates the terms "China," "Indonesia," "Germany," and "Nigeria," implying that the bulk of research on "regional planning" themes is conducted in these four nations.
