“…Amblyomma helvolum is a polyxenous bont tick primarily associated with squamates, particularly snakes, skinks, and varanid lizards. “…In recent years, molecular analyses have detected several associated microbiota in A. varanense across its geographic range, including representatives of the families Borreliaceae (Spirochaetia: Spirochaetales), Francisellaceae (Gammaproteobacteria: Thiotrichales), and Rickettsiaceae (Alphaproteobacteria: Ricketssiales).
