Resumo -O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar o efeito da adição na ração das enzimas digestivas exógenas amilase, lipase e protease sobre o desempenho de tambaqui, em três experimentos independentes. Em cada experimento foi avaliado o efeito da inclusão de uma enzima na ração em diferentes porcentagens: 0,0, 0,05, 0,1 e 0,2%, cada uma com quatro repetições, com 28 dias de duração. Foram realizadas biometrias do peso inicial, para homogeneização da amostra, e do peso final a fim de verificar o efeito dos tratamentos sobre o desempenho dos peixes. Em cada unidade experimental foram estocados dez peixes, alimentados duas vezes ao dia (8 e 14h) até a saciedade aparente, com ração comercial extrusada com 28% de proteína bruta, triturada, adicionada de enzima e depois peletizada. Ao final do experimento, o ganho de peso, a conversão alimentar aparente e o crescimento específico dos peixes, apresentaram diferenças significativas entre os tratamentos. As enzimas exógenas amilase a 0,05% e lipase a 0,2% na ração influenciaram o desempenho zootécnico de juvenis de tambaqui. Exogenous digestive enzymes in tambaqui juvenile feedingAbstract -The objective of this work was to evaluate feed addition of exogenous digestive enzymes amylase, lipase, and protease on the tambaqui performance in three independent experiments. In each experiment, the effect of different percentages of enzyme inclusion in the feed was evaluated: 0.0, 0.05, 0.1 and 0.2%, each with four repetitions, in a 28 days duration. Initial biometrics for the initial weight were performed for sample homogenization, and for the final weight, to verify treatments effect on fish performance. Each experimental unit was stocked with ten fish, and fed on up to apparent satiety twice a day (8 and 14h), on a commercial extruded feed containing 28% crude protein, grounded, added enzymes levels and then pelleted. At the end of the experiment weight gain, apparent feed conversion, and specific growth rate presented significant differences between treatments. Exogenous enzymes amylase at 0.05% and lipase at 0.2% in diets influenced juvenile tambaqui zootechnical performance. The addition of the exogenous protease did not present the same influence.

The present experiment was conducted to evaluate the efficacy of dietary protein from black soldier fly, Hermetia illucens, larval meal (BSFL) to replace fish meal (FM) protein in juvenile barramundi, Lates calcarifer. Larvae of black soldier fly were fed with the underutilised crop, sesbania, Sesbania grandiflora. Five isonitrogenous (44% crude protein) and isocaloric (16.0 kJ available energy/g) experimental diets were formulated to replace FM using processed BSFL meal at 0 (control), 25% (BSFL25), 50% (BSFL50), 75% (BSFL75) and 100% (BSFL100). Data for proximate and amino acid analysis suggested BSFL meal as an inferior protein ingredient than FM, but parallel to soybean meal. At the end of 8 weeks of fish feeding trial, there were no significant differences in the average weight gain (WG) and specific growth rate among the group of fish-fed control, BSFL25 and BSFL50 diets (P \ 0.05). Although numerical differences were recorded in the fish whole-body proximate composition, crude protein and moisture content were not much affected by the different dietary treatments. Essential amino acids including arginine, histidine, lysine and methionine were found to be higher in the whole body of fish-fed BSFL100 diet. Broken line regression analysis of average WG showed an optimum FM replacement level of 28.4% with BSFL meal. Therefore, the present experiment clearly demonstrates that the maximal dietary inclusion level of BSFL meal as FM protein replacer for the optimum growth of juvenile barramundi reared in freshwater could be greater than 28.4% but less than 50%, without any adverse effects on the fish whole-body proximate and amino acid composition.

O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar o desempenho produtivo de juvenis de tambaqui (Colossoma macropomum), alimentados com níveis crescentes de farinha de crueira de mandioca, Manihot esculenta (0%, 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, 100%), como substituto do milho (Zea mays). Os peixes (peso médio inicial de 6,6 ± 0,1 g) foram distribuídos aleatoriamente em 24 grupos (20 peixes/grupo) e alimentados com as dietas experimentais em quatro repetições para avaliação da performance de crescimento, eficiência alimentar, composição corporal e os custos de produção. As performances de crescimento não foram afetados pelos tratamentos. O teor de lipídio no músculo foi diferentemente significativo em peixes alimentados com 40% e 100% em relação aos outros tratamentos. O custo de produção de milho diminuiu linearmente com a substituição. O valor da dieta diminuiu de R $ 1,43 kg-1 a R $ 1,21 kg-1 e o peixe de R $ 1,54 kg-1 a R $ 1,30 peixe kg-1. Concluiu-se que o milho pode ser totalmente substituído por farinha de crueira de mandioca na dieta de juvenil de tambaqui, sem prejudicar o seu desempenho.
