Repensando a (in)visibilidade do tradutor de webnotícias: propostas para o contexto de formação acadêmica em tradução

Abstract

O desenvolvimento tecnológico experimentado a partir do final do século XX resultou em transformações não só para o modo de fazer jornalístico como também para o papel que tradutores passaram a desenvolver inseridos nesses contextos emergentes. Tal cenário impôs novos desafios ao tradutor, ao situá-lo em um diálogo direto e imediato com os condicionantes extratextuais (aspectos culturais, sociais, históricos e ideológicos) que estão presentes em sua profissão. Tais desafios exigem que o perfil desse profissional seja mais bem delineado, a fim de capacitá-lo para o desenvolvimento de estratégias de tradução específicas para o âmbito jornalístico. Neste trabalho, pretende-se refletir sobre como se reconfigura o papel do tradutor de textos jornalísticos no século XXI e de que forma esse papel pode ser entendido, dentro de um contexto de formação acadêmica em tradução, a fim de desenvolver habilidades e competências que o capacitem para atuar nesse setor do mercado de trabalho.
