“…When employees experience recognization and care from their organization, they are willing to retain and have long-term career development in the current organization (Chang and Busser, 2020). Organizational support can improve employees' attendance and work efficiency, positively affect their emotional commitment and reduce turnover intention (Cheng and Yang, 2018;James and Azungah, 2019;Michel et al, 2013). A supportive work environment will generate interns' positive emotions and reasonable expectations for the future, provide them with resources to speed up task and role mastery, aid them to adapt to the new environment and develop good relationships with coworkers (Nasr et al, 2019).…”

“…The relationship between POS and Intention to Leave provides opportunities for managers to retain valuable employees for the company. Meanwhile, the results of the study by James and Azungah (2019) show that the direct relationship between Organizational Support and the intention to leave without a mediator is negative and significant. Guchait et al, (2015) found that POS has a negative and significant effect on the intention to leave, where the higher the perceived high organizational support, the lower the desire to leave the organization.…”

“…Also, organisational socialisation transmits organisational culture to newcomers and influences employee's attitudes and behaviours (Ashforth et al, 2007). Newcomers' successful socialisation leads to their well-being, work engagement and retention (James, 2020), and thus, enable organisations to get expected outcomes from the newcomers (Cranmer et al, 2019;James & Azungah, 2019). Successful socialisation allows newcomers to understand the organisation and positively influences the expectation of both the organisation and the newcomers.…”
