A 91-year-old man was referred with a 0.8-3 1.0-cm pearly papule in a larger ill-defined sclerotic plaque on the left temple that on biopsy showed a basal cell carcinoma. The tumor was removed by Mohs micrographic surgery in 6 stages resulting in a wound that measured 4.0 3 5.0 cm (Figure 1).
