Abstract: Abstract-Abstract -The use of activated carbon in treating water has achieved the elimination of contaminating elements. This paper uses water samples taken from the Daule and Tenguel rivers for after-the-fact filtration with carbon generated from waste product including PLATANO (banana or plantain??), rice husks, and the seed of the ZAPOTE, which were chemically activated individually providing three varieties of activated carbon.
