This article was written as a note in responding to the mainstreaming of religious moderation in Indonesia by examining the dynamics and challenges in the midst of social change in the digital era. This research used literature study. The findings of this research showed that religious expressions shown by adherents of religions cannot be avoided from the tendency to come into contact with digital technology. Religious people, in turn, come into contact with contradictory of digital cultures that give rise to fragmentation and contestation. Moderation campaigns in the digital space to sow messages of peace between religions are now faced with the phenomenon of religious disruption, especially in the digital space. This phenomenon clearly has social implications for social harmony because the scale does not only occur at the internal level of religious communities but also between religious communities. This study recommends revitalizing digital literacy the idea of religious moderation as a process of forming awareness of religious moderation in Indonesian society in the era of digital society.

This article tries to look at the social aspects of dark comedy used in stand-up comedy. Dark comedy is seen as problematic because it is in a vortex of humor, subjectivity, and the public. To capture and analyze these various phenomena, the authors use socio-anthropological perspective with the play theory from Sastramidjaja’s dissertation (2016) which is complemented by publicness from Sasono’s PhD theses (2019). This research is qualitative, using data collection methods in the form of semi-structured interviews with several main questions which are deepened by still referring to the main questions, especially to know the process of preparing jokes and stand-up comedy performances.This research was conducted in the Stand Up Indo Bekasi community and the Stand Up University Bhayangkara Jaya (UBJ) Bekasi with three comedians who often used dark joke material consisting of Bilal (Muslim), Ahmad (Muslim), and James (son of a Christian priest). This paper reveals the finding that dark comedy does not only come from the comedians, but also involves the public sphere as a form of grievances. The authors see that dark comedy is born from concerns that include comedian subjectivity in viewing various symbols – including religious symbols or those related to religion, reversing them, and contextualizing them in an incongruity.

Parents are leaders of the family who should play the role of building family well-being. Family well-being very much depends on the way of nurturing or raising and managing the family. In order to build a prosperous or happy family, the first and foremost matter which needs to be emphasised is parenting knowledge. Neglecting this parenting aspect will result in parents’ failure to effectively manage the family toward well-being, even causing suffering to children and is associated with bad behaviour such as committing murder, physical or sexual abuse, and neglecting their education. Hence, this research is conducted to study parenting skills according to the Islamic perspective, by using content analysis method. Research findings based on the views of Muslim scholars conclude that in the Islamic perspective, the parenting skills which parents need to master to become excellent parents are parenting knowledge, maintaining their relationship with Allah SWT, relationship with their children and relationship with fellow human beings, encompassing spiritual, mental, emotional, physical and social aspects. The implications of this research can help parents know the basic parenting skills according to the Islamic perspective, to build a prosperous family. This research also contributes knowledge to the authorities responsible for managing family development so that knowledge, skills and programs relating to parenting can be disseminated and practised in Muslim family life.
