The value of multiculturalism needs to be applied in the school library to help school member to be able to foster a better tolerance. The school member at Gonzaga College High School who have a high diversity, this value is carried out through the practice of library collection selection. This study aims to identify the representation of multiculturalism in practice selecting collections Gonzaga College High School Library, Jakarta. The school library as a means of supporting teaching and learning activities in schools is also responsible for fostering the value of multiculturalism in students, instilling an attitude to respect diversity in language, ethnicity, and religion. This study uses a qualitative approach with ethnographic analysis methods. Data collection uses participant observation and interviews from December 2019 to April 2020, and document analysis. Determination of informants uses purposive sampling, with a total of 10 consisting of school administrators, library administrators, and students. The findings obtained indicate that the collection selection practice is carried out by referring to the school curriculum and subject-based from various disciplines. The selection tools used are book reviews from social media such as book review webinars, book title lists, and publisher catalogs, suggestions from subject teachers, school principals, and their representatives in the field of curriculum, vice principals of facilities and infrastructure, and lists of books borrowed by users. Decision-making in the practice of selection is carried out by deliberation between the head of the library and the principal based on the awareness of multicultural values on both parties, even though the decision is still held by the principal. Collection development is based on reflection and evaluation carried out by educator community as stated in Our Way Proceeding which is a guidebook in acting and deciding something. The conclusion shows that the representation of multiculturalism in the collection selection practice at the Gonzaga College High School Library applies egalitarian and democratic values. The suggestion that needs to be done is to increase regular communication between decision-makers and the head of the library. ABSTRAKNilai multikulturalisme perlu diterapkan di perpustakaan sekolah untuk membantu warga sekolah agar dapat menumbuhkan sikap toleransi dengan lebih baik. Di SMA Kolese Gonzaga dengan warga sekolah yang memiliki keberagaman tinggi, nilai tersebut dilakukan melalui praktik seleksi koleksi. Analytical expressions of electron transmittance and tunneling current in a metal-oxide-semiconductor (MOS) capacitor with a high dielectric constant (high-K) oxide stack of HfO2 and SiO2 and a negative bias applied to the metal gate were derived. Exponential- and Airy-wavefunction approaches were employed in deriving analytically the electron transmittance and tunneling current. A numerical approach based on a transfer matrix method was used as a standard to evaluate the analytical approaches. It was found that the transmittances obtained under the exponential- and Airy-wavefunction approaches and the TMM are matching for low electron energies, while for higher energies only the transmittances calculated by employing the Airy- wavefunction approach is the same as those computed by using the TMM. It was also found that the tunneling currents calculated by using the exponential- and the Airy-wavefunction approaches and the TMM are equal for low oxide voltages (lower than 0.5 V), while for higher oxide voltages only the tunneling currents computed under the Airy-wavefunction approach fit those obtained under the TMM. Therefore, the Airy-wavefunction approach provides a better analytical model to tunneling processes in the MOS capacitor.

The fundamental objective of this research paper is to examine how interfaith dialogue can be an effective mechanism to combat the forces of radicalization and extremism in Bangladesh. To unveil the answer to this question, this study has explored the nature of the politicization of Islam and the scope of Islamic fundamentalism in Bangladesh. Reviewing the existing pieces of literature, this research paper has identified that there has been a rise in Islamic extremism since the beginning of the 21st century, which evolved throughout the last two decades changing in its nature and intensity. It has illustrated that after the military coup of 1975, the military rulers and the following democratic governments of Bangladesh carried on the tendency of politicizing religion and have used state mechanisms to Islamize Bangladeshi society. However, to address this recent trend of rising militancy, interfaith dialogue can be an effective approach that will shrink the potential of radicalization and extremism in Bangladesh. This study proposes incorporating an interreligious curriculum in the education system of Bangladesh and the engagement of religious preachers as well as mass people of different faiths including various sects of each religion in such interfaith dialogue initiatives to improve understanding and compassion.
