Relaxation kinetics of a non-equilibrium interface of a multicomponent liquid phase–binary substrate on the example of InGaAsInAs system

Abstract: It is shown that upon isothermal contact of a substrate and undersaturated multicomponent liquid whose solid equilibrium phase has a smaller lattice parameter then the substrate, relaxation of this non‐equilibrium interface proceeds by the mechanism „dissolution–regrowth”︁ with an abnormally high (for LPE) rate of growth of the new phase centres which is accompanied by the capture of liquid drops.
