“…Uma medida zootécnica prática e imprescindível que deve ser atentada dentro dos sistemas é a avaliação de condição corporal dos animais, uma vez que, existe uma alta correlação entre condição corporal no pré-parto e consumo de matéria seca no pós-parto, bem como capacidade produtiva, imunidade e eficiência reprodutiva. Montagner et al (2017) comprovaram que vacas que perdem condição corporal no pré-parto tendem a diminuir o seu consumo no pós-parto, com isso acentuando o balanço energético negativo (BEN) após o parto e aumentando a incidência de transtornos metabólicos. Por esse motivo manter o escore corporal ideal (entre 3,5 e 3,75) é essencial para que se tenha um início de lactação sem grandes complicações.…”
