Regenerative effect of mesenteric fat stem cells on ccl4-induced liver cirrhosis, an experimental study

Abstract: Background Liver cirrhosis is a chronic disease in which normal liver tissue is replaced by fibrous tissue, leads to liver malfunction. Although transplantation is the most certain cure, stem cell therapies are shedding light on efforts to regenerate cirrhotic liver. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the regenerative potential of mesenteric fat stem cells in CCL4-induced liver cirrhosis in an animal model. Methods Thirty rats were treated with the mixture of CCL… Show more

“…pointed out that stem cell transplantation can change the migration of MDSCs, CD4 + T cells and the expression of immune cytokines to prevent acute liver injury caused by ConA (Bi, Li, et al, 2019). Recently, a study using ADSCs of mesenteric origin to treat CCl 4 -induced liver cirrhosis in rats for 5 weeks found that ADSCs could improve the histopathological changes of the liver, and also make the rats have normal clinical behavior (Nazhvani, Haghani, Nazhvani, Namazi, & Ghaderi, 2020). With the same results, based on liver function, biochemical and pathological tests, we concluded that ADSCs transplantation improved CCl 4 -induced hepatic brosis injury.…”

“…As a chemical toxin, CCl 4 causes liver fibrosis and induces fatigue, depression, lack of exercise, unsociable behavior, poor appetite, abdominal distension and skin bruising in rats ( Nazhvani et al, 2020 ). However, after RGG treatment, the behavior and status of rats became normal.…”

“…The discovery of their role in tissue regeneration and repair offers a positive outlook for the treatment of fibrotic diseases. Many studies have confirmed that ADSCs can reduce tissue fibrosis, and have certain application values in liver fibrosis, pulmonary fibrosis, and myocardial fibrosis (11)(12)(13). However, there are few studies on the efficacy of ADSCs in skin fibrosis, and the research on its application mechanism in pathological scars remains incomplete.…”
