This study examines the impact of wellness programs on employee job satisfaction in Colleges and Universities. Utilizing a sample of full time or part time college and university faculty members of for-profit and brick and mortar universities in the United States, the results of this correlational study did not predict job satisfaction among employees who participated in wellness programs. In addition, it was found that interaction analyses indicated a relationship between gender and job satisfaction. Females were more likely than males to have higher levels of job satisfaction, as well as years of experience and job satisfaction. Faculty who had employed between 11 and 15 years were more likely to have higher levels of job satisfaction.

This study aims to analyse the impact of recreational activities on employees’ productivity of Nepalese commercial banks as well as to examine the relationship between “physical fitness activities and employees’ productivity”, “mental health activities and employees’ productivity”, and “Entertainment activities and employees’ productivity.” To carry out this research, 201 samples were gathered who were the employees working in Nepalese commercial banks inside the Kathmandu valley. Quota sampling technique was applied to acquire the data from different categories of commercial banks. Primary sources of data have been used for the study along with cross sectional research design. Structured questionnaire was also designed and used for the study. It concluded that there is a moderate positive relationship between each independent variable, i.e., physical fitness activities, mental health activities and entertainment activities and dependent variable, i.e., employees’ productivity. However, in terms of analysing the impact of independent variables on the dependent variable, it showed that two independent variables, i.e., physical fitness activities and entertainment activities have a significant positive impact on employee productivity. When employees are productive, the organisation is also productive. As there is a positive impact of recreational activities on employees’ productivity, all the commercial banks need to focus on recreational activities. Commercial banks who are adopting recreational activities, their future is bright.

Turizm endüstrisinde faaliyet gösteren bir işletmenin temel gücü, yüksek motivasyona sahip ve tatmin olmuş işgörenlerdir. Ön saflarda yer alan işgörenlerin müşteri memnuniyeti üzerinde ani etkiye sahip olduğu turizm endüstrisi gibi müşteri hizmetleri odaklı işletmelerde, işgören motivasyonunu teşvik etmek ve tatminini artırmak belki de hiçbir yerde daha önemli değildir. Bu nedenle otel yöneticileri de, işgörenlerin motive ve tatmin olduklarını hissettikleri doğru örgütsel ortamı sağlamalıdır. Bu noktada otel işletmelerinde rekreatif faaliyetler etkin bir çözüm olarak uygulanabilir. Yapılan araştırmanın amacı, beş yıldızlı otel işletmelerinin işgörenlerine yönelik uyguladıkları rekreatif faaliyetlerin onların motivasyon ve iş tatminine etkisini belirlemektir. Veri toplama aracı olarak kullanılan anket, Antalya, Mersin, Aydın ve Muğla olmak üzere dört ilde faaliyet gösteren 8 beş yıldızlı otel işletmesinin 473 işgöreni üzerinde uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler frekans, yüzde dağılımı, aritmetik ortalama, standart sapma, t testi, varyans analizi ve Pearson korelasyon analizi ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda, otel işgörenlerine yönelik uygulanan rekreatif faaliyetlerin düşük düzeyde olduğu belirlenmiştir. Bununla birlikte rekreatif faaliyetlerin uygulama düzeyi ile motivasyon ve iş tatmini arasında pozitif orta kuvvette korelasyon bulunmuştur. Ayrıca rekreatif faaliyetler, motivasyon ve iş tatmininin işgörenlerin pek çok bireysel özelliklerine (yaş, öğrenim durumu departman, kıdem vb.) göre anlamlı farklılıklar gösterdiği tespit edilmiştir.
