“…To prepare samples for gas chromatography–mass spectrometry, 200 μg of extract was re-dissolved in 30 mL of hexane, and then 20 ng of deuterated PAHs (ES-2528, Cambridge Isotope Laboratories, Inc., Tewksbury, MA, USA) was added as an internal standard. The re-dissolved extract was again concentrated by using a rotary evaporator set at a pressure of 23,940 Pa [ 28 ]. A small amount of the concentrated hexane solution was then added to a preconditioned silica gel cartridge (Sep-Pak Silica Plus, Waters Corp.
