“…In Romania, highbush blueberries were introduced in 1968 in Arges , county [3]. Subsequently, a breeding program was established in 1982 for highbush blueberries at the Research Institute for Fruit Growing Pites , ti, resulting in the creation of nine Romanian varieties: 'Safir' and 'Azur' (1998), 'Augusta' (1999), 'Simultan' and 'Delicia' (2001), 'Lax' and 'Compact ' (2002), and 'Vital' and 'Prod ' (2008) [4].
