Recall-Based Dynamic Spectrum Auction with the Protection of Primary Users

Abstract: Dynamic spectrum auction is considered as an effective solution to improve spectrum utilization efficiency in dynamic spectrum sharing networks because it can provide an economic incentive to motivate primary users to share their idle spectrum with secondary users. However, the primary users' own quality of services (QoS) cannot be guaranteed in case of demand peak because their spectrum is being used by the winners at auction. To solve this problem, we propose a recall-based dynamic spectrum auction (RBDSA) a… Show more

“…Hence, the harvested energy at the EH receiver can be computed from Q = ζ |gs| 2 + |gw| 2 , where ζ is a constant that accounts for the efficiency in the energy conversion. Interestingly, the energy limit Q is very similar to the interference limit in cognitive radio (CR) [30][31][32][33][34], where the interference should be controlled to be below a predefined value.…”

“…Internet of things (IoTs) has emerged as a new paradigm for the next generation to enable diverse objects to exchange and collect data with each other. Compared with the conventional paradigms, more considerations are given to develop the green IoTs where new energy efficient devices, protocols, and architectures have been designed to interconnect with the physical world [1][2][3][4]. Among the enabling green IoTs technologies, the smart grid [5,6] plays an important role in realizing the green IoTs [7][8][9][10].…”

“…The radio spectrum has become one of the scarcest resources with the rapid development of wireless communication technologies [1,2]. Full-duplex wireless communications can simultaneously transmit and receive signals in the same band.…”
