Real-time optotracing of curli and cellulose in live Salmonella biofilms using luminescent oligothiophenes

Abstract: Extracellular matrix (ECM) is the protein- and polysaccharide-rich backbone of bacterial biofilms that provides a defensive barrier in clinical, environmental and industrial settings.
