Reaction of copper(II) with 1-carboxamide-3,5-dimethylpyrazole, 1-carboxamidine-3,5-dimethylpyrazole, 4-acetyl-3-amino-5-methylpyrazole and 5-amino-4-carboxamide-1-phenylpyrazole

Abstract: HAL is a multidisciplinary open access archive for the deposit and dissemination of scientific research documents, whether they are published or not. The documents may come from teaching and research institutions in France or abroad, or from public or private research centers. L'archive ouverte pluridisciplinaire HAL, est destinée au dépôt et à la diffusion de documents scientifiques de niveau recherche, publiés ou non, émanant des établissements d'enseignement et de recherche français ou étrangers, des labora… Show more

“…The complex of 3,5-dimethyl-1-(thiocarbamoyl)pyrazole with cadmium chloride was obtained as a part of our systematic studies on pyrazole-based complexes (Jaćimović et al, 1999;Tomić et al, 2000; Mé szá ros Szé csé nyi et al, 2001; Mé szá ros Szé csé nyi, Leovac, Č ešljević et al, 2003;Jaćimović et al, 2003). The ligand 3,5-dimethyl-1-(thiocarbamoyl)pyrazole, L, was synthesized by a reaction of thiosemicarbazide with acetylacetone in an acidic aqueous solution and its crystal structure was recently reported (Ková cs et al, 2005).…”

“…The complex was formed with this pyrazole derivative as a consequence of breaking the phosphorus-nitrogen bond. The degradation reaction, decarboxamidation, was previously observed in the reaction of 1-carboxamide-3,5-dimethylpyrazole with CuCl 2 with the formation of [Cu(3,5-Me 2 pz) 2 Cl 2 ] [38], and in the reaction with CuBr 2 yielding [Cu(3,5-Me 2 pz)(L)Br] 2 (HL = 1-carboxamide-3,5-dimethylpyrazole) [39]. The X-ray analysis of a binuclear [Cu(3,5-Me 2 pz) 2 Cl 2 ] 2 complex has shown the existence of two structurally identical mononuclear halves.…”

“…Copper has been established as a potential metal among the other essential trace elements to interact with a variety of Schiff base ligands for biological studies 4–9 because copper is implicated in several functions of vital enzymes and is an essential unit of their redox systems. 6,9,10 Copper, as the central atom of promising metallo-therapeutics, has exhibited an excellent performance in a number of copper complexes, mostly in planar polydentate heterocyclic ligands.…”
