“…As all the studies had different demographic profiles, the differences in mean age may reflect the diversity of the populations studied. There was no significant predominance of gender, which was similar to that reported by other authors . The distribution of the skin phototype in patients with ACDR was similar to the local population where the study was conducted…”

“…The most common causes of admission were neoplasm and infection/sepsis, reflecting the severity of clinical conditions associated with ACDR and thus justifying the 6% mortality. This mortality rate due to adverse drug reactions of 2.6% was lower than that reported in previous studies because other studies included all cases of death occurring . While we observed an improvement of 89.7% in our study, this improvement was lower than in other populations .…”

[1][2][3][4][5][6] The weakening of the hair shaft in this context predisposes the hair to breakage and sheading during the act of combing. They involve the hair, eyebrows, beard, axillary and pubian hair.…”

“…Some drugs can trigger localized reactions due to extravasation to tissues adjacent to the areas of application. [1][2][3][4] Exanthematous reactions, such as erythema multiforme, non-specific, are more common, and many of them are attributed to hypersensitivity mechanisms. 4 Certain local toxicity, such as alopecia, mucositis, nail alterations or hand-foot syndrome, is more specific and less common, frequently associated with particular drugs or groups of drugs.…”
