Rat-Bite Fever

Abstract: The clinical entity known as rat-bite fever, and first described in this country by Wilcox 1 in 1840, presents an interesting group of symptoms, and, while it cannot be classed as a rarity, is, however, of comparatively infrequent occurrence in America. Most of the cases described have occurred in adults, with very little, if any, variability in symptoms.
