Radiofrequenzablation von Lungentumoren

Das nichtkleinzellige Lungenkarzinom (NSCLC) gehört zu den häufigsten Malignomen und ist weltweit die Hauptursache der krebsassoziierten Todesfälle. Zwischen 20 und 50% dieser Patienten entwickeln eine Fernmetastasierung. Patienten mit metastasiertem NSCLC sind meistens inkurabel und haben eine schlechte Lebenserwartung, die mittlere Überlebenszeit beträgt weniger als 2 Jahre [1, 2]. Eine Subgruppe von ca. 7% mit sog. Oligometastasierung hat eine deutlich bessere Prognose und ist potenziell kurabel [1, 2]. Bildgebende Verfahren, insbesondere die FDG-PET-Untersuchung, sind wegweisend für die Diagnose dieser Patienten. Die Behandlung erfolgt interdisziplinär, operativ, radioonkologisch und medikamentös. 4

Abstract: Our results indicate that RFA therapy is not adequate for successful induction of necrosis in tumours of the lung. Therefore the use of this method has to be considered extremely carefully as a palliative treatment option in tumours of the lung.
